With reference to www.auntminnie.com, GE presented the topic of new CT detectors with photon counting technology at their virtual booth. With the purchase of the Swedish company "Prismatic," which specializes in developing these particular detectors, GE expects new systems with significant improvements in detail resolution, the characterization and quantification of tissues, even more precise measurements, and a lower dose requirement. In the MR field, GE has received FDA clinical approval for your 7 Tesla MR system. With this, GE wants to transfer special applications from 7 Tesla to 3 Tesla systems more efficiently. Another focus is further developing your "AIR" product line, which consists of special surface coils and software solutions that increasingly use DI (deep learning) technology in image reconstruction. You have presented a new clinical application for your ultrasound product line: the fat content of the liver can be quantified with the so-called “ultrasound-guided attenuation parameter” (UGAP). According to GE, this should enable liver diseases to be diagnosed earlier.
