RSNA 2020: New Siemens MR System

According to the latest press release from SIEMENS, the company presented its new MR system at this year's virtual RSNA congress: The Magnetom Free.Max.1 is a 0.55 Tesla system with an 80 cm gantry. The system uses less than one liter of liquid helium for cooling and therefore does not need a quench line. New technology uses neural networks, thus allowing high-resolution images at lower signals. According to the manufacturer, the system improves lung imaging and allows more accurate examinations of patients with implants.
